RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS

RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS
Marcia Norwood, America's STORYTELLER

"Rainy Days and Mondays" is a 1972 song by The Carpenters.  It went to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and went Gold.  It was composed in 1971 by composers Roger Nichols and Paul Williams.  One of Karen's best friends was Olivia Newton-John, who recorded a version of the song in her album Indigo:  Women of Song, as a tribute to Karen Carpenter.

What do you do on rainy days when you're feeling blue?

We go to the Kansas City Zoo!

Granddaughter Emily Grace wears my umbrella hat!
I bought this hat to wear out to recess with my students, but Emily had fun with it at the KC Zoo!

Don't take yourself too seriously!  Have some fun!

Okay!  I took this photo on a sunny day - but I couldn't resist adding it to our photos of the KC Zoo!

The Polar Bear exhibit is fantastic!  You can watch Nikita, KC's Polar Bear, swim underwater!
Nikita pushes off the glass and does a back flip!

Grandson Caleb and Daughter Sarah pose on a sunny day at the KC Zoo.

Rainy days and sunny days are all good days at the Kansas City Zoo.

We enjoy our FOTZ pass (Friends of the Zoo),  all year with our children and grandchildren.  Don't let a rainy day stop you from making beautiful memories with your family!
