HOT OR COLD?

HOT OR COLD?
Marcia Norwood, America's STORYTELLER

Do you like your drinks hot or cold?

Maybe both - depending on the weather!

HOT!
MARCIA'S FIRE WATER
  • 1 Gallon Apple Cider
  • 1 Package (16 ounce) Red Hots Candy*
  1. Pour apple cider into large pan on the stove.
  2. Cook on medium heat.
  3. Pour package of red hots candies into the apple cider...stir CONTINUALLY until all the red hots have melted.
  4. Serve HOT.
This is delicious and easy.

It's beautiful and festive when served in clear glasses!

I make this hot drink often throughout our cold Missouri winters here in the heart of the USA.
I serve it SO hot that some who burned their tongues named it:  "Marcia's Fire Water."
Eugenia Pate, the founder of KPRS Radio gave me this recipe in 1972.

*Note:  Ferrara Pan Candy Company created Red Hots, a hard cinnamon candy, in the 1930's.  The generic name used by the candy industry is "cinnamon imperials."

Here's a site to order Red Hots.
