My granddaughter, Megan's school assignment was to dissect a flower.

To complete the assignment Megan made an "eye-witness" report and drawing.

Megan is one of my granddaughters that I help homeschool, along with my teenage daughters, Faith and Sarah. We use a combination of DVDs and textbooks from ABeka Academy, in Pensacola, Florida.
I traveled to Pensacola, in 1979, for training with the editors of the ABeka curriculum, and had the opportunity to take classes from Dr. Horton and his wife Beka Horton, the namesake of the curriculum.
When Sarah and Faith graduate in 2014, I will have used every grade level of the ABeka curriculum (from Preschool to Kindergarten and up through Grade 12) - either in my own classroom at private schools, or in our homeschool classroom.

I have four children: two homemade (Kristin and Benjamin) who are now adults; two chosen children (Faith and Sarah) who were adopted from China, and four grandchildren: (Joshua, Emily, Caleb and Megan).

My children and grandchildren have attended public schools, private schools, and homeschool classes.
You might say we are equal-opportunity learners who think out-side the box, and are open to learning anywhere.
It's fun to observe God's world and learn along with my children and grandchildren!
