CHILL the peanut butter filling in the refrigerator.
GATHER candy melts and candy molds.

I purchased candy melts and molds
at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

I found
"Confectionery Twisting Wax Paper" at DEALS.

My new favorite tool for working with candy melts
is the "Drizzling Scoop."

Melt candy wafers in a double boiler, or microwave.
Directions are on the back of the candy package.
I use the microwave.
- Place candy wafers in microwave safe bowl.
(I used a glass measuring cup.)
- Microwave for 30-second intervals...stirring in between.

REFRIGERATE for a few minutes
until chocolate is set.
Take candy mold out of the refrigerator, and PUSH a glob of peanut butter filling in the center of each chocolate cup.
Flatten the filling, and pour more
melted chocolate over the top of the filling.

You know those boxes that chocolates come in?
I wanted something different for my candy:
something that was colorful,
and something that would hold up during shipping.
Instead of using a paper box
for my homemade peanut butter cups,
I purchased a blue, plastic container
with multiple compartments
in the jewelry department at Michaels.
I washed it before adding the chocolates.

I finally found Edible Easter Grass
at the second Target store I went to.
The first Target store I went to sold out, and
so did the Wal-Mart.

Edible Grass has absolutely no nutritional value,
and is full of artificial flavors and preservatives,
but it looks so cute with my candy.
My daughter, Faith, says it tastes like an ice cream cone.

I also had fun using egg molds to make
chocolate Easter eggs...and heart chocolate suckers...
and adding peanut butter flavored melts to pretzels.

When the chocolate eggs were ready,
I added them inside plastic yellow "chick" eggs!
I think I found the yellow chick eggs at DEALS.

I also found clear plastic "chick" eggs,
(at DEALS)
and filled them with homemade and purchased candy,
nuts, lifesavers and sunflower seeds.
