We have three puppies.

We had one puppy at a time for my entire life until now.

This is our first puppy pack.

I'm amazed at how they interact with each other, and with each member of our family.

We adopted Izzy Belle, our Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle), through LL Dog Rescue, when she was one year old.

Izzy's first human mamma was too ill to take care of her, and gave her up to LL Dog Rescue. She made a quilt for Izzy that we still have.

Izzy Belle is a beautiful, calm, and easy going Schnoodle. She kinda looks like Eeyore, and sits exactly like her, although Izzy Belle really isn't gloomy or depressed like Eeyore - she's just laid-back and easy going.

We had Daisy for one month, when we added Izzy Belle to our family, thanks to LL Dog Rescue.

Izzy Belle and Daisy became best girlfriends/sisters immediately.

Daisy is active with a hilarious personality.

Izzy Belle is mellow: an old soul.

They are very happy together.

January 2011, I learned about a little Peke-A-Poo puppy who had been rescued from a puppy mill. She had been left to die. She suffered from malnutrition, and had to be hand-fed every two hours. She weighed less than 2 pounds.

Sarah, Faith, Megan and I made an appointment to meet her.

We wanted to bring her home.

Other families wanted her, too.

We brought along Izzy Belle and Daisy to meet the new puppy.

"Dogs have given us their absolute all.

We are the center of their universe.

We are the focus of their love and faith and trust.

They serve us in return for scraps.

It is without a doubt the best deal

man has ever made."

We were chosen to be the puppy's Fur-ever Family!

We named her Pearl Ming Zhu, Chinese for Bright Pearl.

"For me a house or an apartment becomes a home when you add one set of four legs, a happy tail, and that indescribable measure of love that we call a dog."

Pearl started gaining weight!

Izzy Belle and Daisy check out the new puppy, Pearl Ming Zhu.

Pearl is guarded by Daisy and Izzy Belle.

Pearl wanted Daisy to be her mamma.

Daisy picked up Pearl, and put her in the suitcase!

Pearl sat in the suitcase, and waited for someone to get her out.

Daughter, Sarah, is the Dog Whisperer at our house. She takes the dogs on walks and runs. Sometimes, she pushes them in the dog stroller.
