DIY PIERCED PAPER PROJECTS

1) SCRAPBOOK PAPER SACHET
 2) CANDY BAR WRAP
3) WINE GLASS SHADE
4) HOMEMADE LIP GLOSS

Those lovely scented paper sachets at the stores
always find a place in my shopping basket.
They are wonderful additions to closets, drawers, and cars.

Their scent never seems to last very long,
so I decided to make my own.

I used scrapbook paper to create unique,
homemade gifts for a women's retreat,
and also for birthday gifts.

Candy Bar, Sachet and  Homemade Lip Gloss    Homemade Lip Gloss:  Vaseline Petroleum Jelly + Food Coloring + Peppermint or Cinnamon Drops or Kool-aid Mix for Taste.  Click on link below to my previous blog for instructions.                 Copyright  2008 Marcia Norwood

Sachet

A sachet (/ˈsæʃ/ SA-shay; from the French sachet, meaning little bag) or packet is a small disposable bag or pouch,
  •  Scrapbook Paper
  • Envelope Template  (See template below or just open an envelope that you have, and trace it for your pattern.)
    • Corn-on-the cob Holders (I used these to prick scrapbook paper and add designs.)
    • Cutting Board (I put the cutting board under the scrapbook paper as I pierce the paper with the corn holders.)
    • Scissors
    • String or Ribbon (Your Choice)
    • Charms or Buttons
    • Dried Flowers (I used lavender from my garden.)
    • Fill Sachet With:  Vermiculite + Essential Oil and Potpourri (Add essential oil to vermiculite and mix with potpourri.  Vermiculite acts as a fixative to hold the scent of the oil.  Vermiculite is available where garden supplies are sold.)

I found the metal candle holder for the wine glass in my supplies, but I have no idea where it came from.  Sure wish I could find these!  Anyone know a supplier for them?    I added a beaded pin decoration to the shade.  Copyright 2008  Marcia Norwood
