2013 JOURNEY TO CHRISTMAS:
THE FUN CHRISTMAS and
THE REAL CHRISTMAS
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS
Martha Reppert & Eric Jackson
We celebrate every part of Christmas:
The Fun Christmas and The Real Christmas.
The Fun Christmas includes Santa Claus, Rudolph and his reindeer friends, elves, Frosty and snowmen, gingerbread houses, the Grinch, decorations, trees, lights, and gifts to each other.

We found Santa's elves and beautiful Christmas decorations in China, but no Nativity scenes.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son,
and will call him Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14

And she shall bring forth a son, and
thou shalt call his name JESUS,
for He shall save his people
from their sins.

Immanuel.
God with us.
It's something a child understands through eyes of faith.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked,
"Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
He called a little child to Him,
and placed the child among them.
And He said: "Truly I tell you,
unless you change and become like little children,
you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child
is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoever welcomes one such child
in my name welcome me.

Away in a Manger is a wonderful children's book written by Cindy Brouse Kenealy, and illustrated by a talented artist, Martha Reppert.
Martha and I have been friends since we were little girls. We share the same birthday: July 5th!
Martha used watercolor and watercolor pencils with a small amount of marker to create her illustrations.
Martha and Cindy gave me permission to share pages from their beautiful book with you.

The Fun Christmas
Eric Jackson is the guy you want to hang around at a party - or at church - or at work (at Powell Gardens) - or at a parent's meeting at school.
Eric's son was in my preschool class, and he certainly passed on his sense of humor to his son, Sawyer.

I miss seeing Sawyer everyday, but the Jackson's Christmas video allows me to see what Sawyer is up to.
You are in for a treat!
Check out Eric's own creation: the Official Jackson Version below:
