GOD puts thoughts in my mind while I sleep.

I woke up this morning with a desire to read the gospel of Mark.

I read from my old worn Bible that was given to me in 1975.

The cover is off, and the pages are torn and tattered.

My handwritten notes are in the margins of many pages:  my thoughts as I studied the Word of GOD, and also key phrases from sermon notes over the years.

At the top of the page by Mark 2, I had written:
"Life's Interruption
(We are like sheep.)
Sheep on  back - can't get up
w/o (without) assistance."

Jesus' life on earth was filled with interruptions from sheep: (hurting people) who needed his assistance.

The first chapters of the book of Mark tell stories of Jesus' ministry in Galilee.

"And in the morning,
rising up a great while before day,
he went out, and departed into a solitary place,
and there prayed.
And Simon and they that were with him
followed after him.
And when they had found him,
they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
And He said unto them,
Let us go into the next towns,
that I may preach there also:
for therefore came I forth.
And He preached in their synagogues
throughout all Galilee
and cast out devils.
And their came a leper to Him,
beseeching Him, and kneeling down to Him,
and saying unto Him,
If though wilt,
thou canst make me clean.
And Jesus, moved with compassion,
put forth His hand,
and touched him,
and saith unto him,
I will; be clean.
As soon as He had spoken,
immediately the leprosy departed from him,
and he was cleansed."
Mark 2:  35-42

Jesus was interrupted constantly by people who needed His healing touch.

Jesus stopped what He was doing, and healed all who believed:  lepers, demon-possessed, deaf, paralyzed, and blind.

The biggest miracle of all was - and still is --the forgiveness of sins.

Life's Interruptions.
We have them, too.

We have interruptions in our plans every day.

Watch

Watch for Life's Interruptions.
They are opportunities for GOD to use you in unexpected ways... to help others in Jesus' Name.

Remember
We are like sheep.
Sheep on  their back - can't get up without assistance.

Prayer

Help me, GOD, to follow Jesus' example, and stop what I am doing to help another sheep...in Jesus' name.

JESUS is the Good Shepherd.
John 10:10-11
"The thief comes only to steal ad kill and destroy;  I came that they may have life,
and have it abundantly.  I am the good shepherd;
the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."
