"Welcome to my garden.  I  started this garden four years ago.  When I began, the only thing in the yard were the four large trees, and a hedge of forsythia that I removed.

I love to work in the garden.  It is one of my passions.
I have a degree in art.  I love color, and the play of light and shadow.  We are in the 4th year of a five year plan.

We added the fireplace last fall, and we are adding the path between the porch and patio as well as a path to my new studio in the carriage house.  This year I planted 50 dahlias that will bloom from July through October.  I haven't met a plant that I won't try.

I am not afraid to remove something
if it doesn't thrive or meet my needs."

Something to think about!

What if
Blue Springs' gardeners
 joined together to feature
 blue flowers and springs/fountains
in municipal and private gardens
to honor the namesake/heritage
of Blue Springs?

Blue flowers seem to be rare in most gardens.

  Pella, Iowa honors its heritage
with the famous annual Tulip Festival.
Businesses and private homes
plant masses of tulips.
Why not feature more than one variety of
 blue flowers and springs
in Blue Springs, Missouri?

I promised to help Bebe
of the Blue Springs Historical Society
think of  blue flowers for Blue Springs.
