You have got to try Zipzicles!
The first batch of Zipzicles I made was the "Rootbeer Creamzicle."

My daughter, Faith, can't get enough Zipzicles.
FAITH: "It's delicious! It's like an ice-crystal Root Beer slushy!"
I found Zipzicles at one of my favorite stores: World Market, for $2.99. I purchased one package to put in a gift basket, and another package for myself.
The brightly colored packaging caught my eye, and I'm always looking for new recipes and gadgets.
Zipzicles are a zip-top ice-pop mold invented by a boy named Luke. They are a fun and delicious. You choose your own ingredients to put in their molds (plastic tubes), and enjoy portable ice-pops without the worry of allergies, dyes, or sticks.

There are three recipes on the back of the package, and more recipe ideas on their website.

I used a funnel to fill the bags, and held it over a bowl to catch any drippings.

I placed all twelve of the Zipzicles in a plastic container, and then placed it in the freezer.

My daughter couldn't wait - and started tasting them about 30 minutes after we put them in the freezer.
FAITH: "I suggest cutting off the zip-top before eating, so the bag doesn't keep closing."

FAITH: "It's delicious! It's like an ice-crystal Root Beer slushy! I had three before I went to bed last night, and one for breakfast this morning."

You may not want your family to have Rootbeer Creamzicles for breakfast - so how about orange juice Zipzicles?
Today I'm making Strawberry Lemonade and Orange Juice Zipzicles.

PRESERVING FRESH HERBS. New use for Zipzicle® pouches!
1. Place fresh cut herbs into pouch. Using a funnel, slowly pour Olive Oil over herbs. Zip pouch closed. We use organic olive oil from www.kitehawkfarm.com.
2. Line a cookie sheet with paper towel or wax paper. Place pouch on cookie sheet, folding the top to keep oil clear of seal. Gently poke the pouch to distribute herbs evenly. Freeze until solid.
3. When ready to cook, open the pouch and push and cut desired amount. Reseal and Refreeze.
Have fun enjoying this yummy treat!
Your friends and family will think you are SUPERMOM.
