FLY AWAY is the true story about my family. It reminds each of us that while our time on EARTH is temporary: our existence is eternal.
I saw a need in my family, friends, my students and their parents for a simple book that helps adults and children address loss and grief from a Christian perspective. Every human being has to deal with loss, death and grief eventually. It's a normal part of life. It's important that people talk about and remember the person they loved, and not feel as if the subject is off limits.
This booklet began as personal email messages to my family and friends about the deaths of my father and mother.

The JOURNEY JEWELRY Workbook is a proactive tool that Marcia developed to honor every minute of a child's life. It helps adoptive and foster parents feel more comfortable telling the positive and negative elements of their child's story. Life Stories unfold as a chronological narrative. It creates a verbal and visual record of a child's story. Words create pictures where none are available. It creates a comforting ritual.
A JOURNEY JEWELRY Bracelet is also available with the workbook. Marcia first created the silk cord bracelet with quality handmade glass beads and silvertone charms for her chosen children from China: Sarah Zheng-Kang and Faith Fu Ju. JOURNEY JEWELRY made its public debut in 2004, when Marcia was invited by Dick Fischer, editor of Adoption Today, to teach a class for adoptive parents at Chinese Heritage Camp in Denver, Colorado.
