Are you ready for another homemade gift project for yourself or for your Valentine?

Here's a recipe for a "Chocolate-Cake-Mix-In-A-Mug" - - individual cakes that are cooked in the microwave!!!

Gather Supplies

Chocolate Flavor Cake Mix
Peanut Butter Cups (Miniature or Regular) Candies
Small Ziploc Bags
Mugs (Microwave Safe)
Whisks (Optional)
Tags (With Instructions) (Example Included Below)
Tissue Paper (Optional)

Directions

1. MEASURE 1/3 CUP Chocolate Flavor Cake Mix, and put inside small Ziploc bags. (I got 7 - 8 bags out of one cake mix.)

2. CHOP Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (4 miniatures or 1/2 of regular size) candies into pieces, then ADD to the cake mix in bags.

3. SHAKE to combine.

4. PLACE in a MUG (with OR without tissue paper), and ATTACH a TAG with instructions on additional ingredients, and how to bake the mix in the microwave. Optional: Include a small WIRE WHISK.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BARK

RECIPE
Makes 24-36 Pieces

Chocolate PEANUT BUTTER Bark is easy to make, and makes a great homemade gift for all your Valentines.

Ingredients

12-OUNCES Bittersweet Baking Chocolate, Chopped
1/2 CUP Peanut Butter Chips
2 TABLESPOONS Unsalted Butter
1/2 CUP Roasted Peanuts

Directions:
1. Line a baking sheet with nonstick aluminum foil or parchment paper.

2. Melt chocolate in microwave on high for one minute. Stir and heat on HIGH for another 15 to 30 seconds. Stir until smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, melt the peanut butter chips and butter in microwave on HIGH for one minute until smooth. STIR.

4. Pour melted chocolate onto the lined baking sheet, and spread into a 1/4-inch rectangle.

5. Drizzle the melted peanut butter mixture over the chocolate.

6. Sprinkle with peanuts.

7. Refrigerate until firm...about one hour.

8. Peel off the foil or parchment paper, and break bark into pieces.

Makes 24 - 36 Pieces

I packaged pieces of chocolate peanut butter bark in Valentine baggies with a sweet red paper Valentine doily.

The tabs I added to my magazine last December, helped me find the recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark in February!

Maybe I'll start color-coding pages with tabs...like blue for crafts, green for gardens, pink for decor, and purple for recipes....or maybe not.

I made one batch of bark using
Bittersweet Baking Chocolate,

and another batch

using Milk Chocolate Candy Melts.

My daughter, Faith, prefers the dark chocolate.

I like the milk chocolate.

Both are delicious!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today we celebrate LOVE.

What is LOVE?

Do you know someone who loves like that?

The question then becomes WHO is LOVE?

Someone who is patient and kind...who does not envy, does not boast...someone who is not proud, not rude, not self-seeking?

Someone who is not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs?

Someone who does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth?

Someone who protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres?

Someone who never fails?

Let's try something.

Substitute a name (or your name) in place of the word, LOVE, and see if it fits.

"____________" is patient and kind.

"____________" does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, not rude, not self-seeking.

"____________" is not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs.

How did that work out?

There is only one person that fits...God.
