DESTINY

Noun

1.  a state or end that seemingly has been decided beforehand 

2.  what will necessarily happen to any person or thing (one's fate)

3.  that which determines events:  said of either a supernatural agency or necessity

4.  the seemingly inevitable or necessary succession of events

Sometimes it feels like I'm standing still:

     stuck...not even moving toward my destiny.

 

Do you ever feel that way?

 

What do you do in that situation?

 

I've learned over the years that there are times I need to encourage myself...just like King David did at Ziklag.

 SOULMATE


 Thomas Moore described a soulmate as:  
"someone to whom we feel profoundly connected, 
as though the communication 
and communing that take place between us 
were not the product of intentional efforts, 
but rather a divine grace."



Bashert  is a Yiddish word that means "destiny."  It's used often in the context of a person's divinely foreordained spouse or soulmate.


Yiddish: באַשערט     


Female:  "basherte"
Male:  "basherter"


It can also be used to express the seeming fate or destiny of an auspicious or important event, friendship or happening.

A soulmate  
is someone who has locks that fit our keys
and keys to fit our locks.
When we feel safe enough 
to open the locks
our truest selves step out
and we can be completely and honestly who we are; 
we can be loved for who we are, 
and not for who we're pretending to be.
Each unveils the best part of the other.   
No matter what else goes wrong around us, 
with that one person we're safe in our own paradise.  
Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, 
our sense of direction.
