Are you looking for a way to thank volunteers at your church or civic organization?

How about planning a day at the spa as a part of a Volunteer Appreciation Day?

We turned  a church fellowship hall into a breakfast bar.  Ladies dressed up as Mary and Martha (Bible characters) and pampered people with a soothing hand massage.

We gifted all volunteers with a customized drinking  glass (not a mug) etched with the name of the church and the logo of the historical church building.

Here's an example of promotional items you can personalize:

After the morning church service, we gathered again in the fellowship hall for a "Soup & Sandwich" Luncheon.

I sent out recipes along with the invitations, and asked people to sign up to bring their choice of two items:  soup or stew, grilled chicken sandwich ingredients, salad, or dessert.

Perhaps the invitations and recipes we used will inspire you to plan a special event to honor your volunteers!

Have fun!
