My friend, Melody Zhang, exemplifies the meaning of her name.  Her life is a melody, a pleasing succession of sounds, an organized sequence that relates to others from orphans, to movie and television stars, and from adoptive parents to national leaders in China.

CHILD PROTECTION:  Anti-child abuse league of China was formed  under China Women's Federation. This is the first ever joint effort of seven major government foundations and 100 NGOs on this matter in China.  Children's Hope International represented the NGOs at the grand event. Melody said:  "CHI actually wrote this plan in July, and presented to them.   It gets much bigger than we can ever do. May God uses us to lead the league to glorify His name while saving children of China!" Copyright 2013  Children's Hope International.

Message from Melody
"In the last 20 years Children's Hope International has united over 8,000 children with their adoptive families, and that includes 4,000 adoptions of Chinese children.  Now now 648 of those Chinese children are over 18, and 1137 are over 16 years old.  Wherever you are, blessings dear! Please keep in touch with us.  We would love to know where you are, and how you are doing. Please come to China and visit us someday!"
Melody Zhang, Co-founder Children's Hope International

Alenah's Home: Dong Sheng is one the boys CHI helped 10 years ago when Aids took lives of his parents, and so many children's parents in Henan Province. Dong Sheng has now graduated from chef school, and he volunteers at our home! The little girl here is Jinhua.
Alenah's Home: Leixiangyang was orphaned after both of his parents passed away. He was sent to school by Children's Hope International, and now works for CHI as chef for all children. CCTV found his story inspiring and came to interview him!

We are not all called to adopt, but we can help those who do.

We are all called to find a way to help orphans and widows.

You can sponsor a child at Alenah's Home beginning at  $25-$30 per month.

The children at Alenah's Home need medical treatment and special care.   It actually costs CHI about $700 per month to take care of one child.

Children’s Hope International is a non-profit, faith-based Christian agency committed to our mission of homes, health and hope to children in need, especially those who are without parents.
bldg-StLouis Our home office is in St. Louis, Missouri. We are affiliated with no particular denomination and work cooperatively with people of all faiths. Pure religion in the sight of God is to care for the fatherless and the vulnerable. Faith in the Lord is  basis of the principles which guide us.

Melody Zhang
Our roots go back to 1982, as an international education institute which provided assistance with adoption for its members. When China opened up to international adoption in 1992, Dwyatt Gantt and Melody Zhang recognized this opportunity to help orphaned children find loving homes, and thus Children’s Hope International began.

Dwyatt moved from China, back to the United States, while Melody worked through an orphanage located in China. Fourteen children were placed with families in that first year. Since then, Children’s Hope International has united over 8,000 children with their adoptive families.
