Created in Britain in the 1780s...during the reign of King George III.
Advertising slogan: "The Original Celebrated Curiously Strong Mints" referring to the high concentration of peppermint oil used in the original flavor lozenge.
I save and recycle Altoid tins!
Halloween Gift Tins
1. Spray tin with Metal Spray Primer. Dry Completely.
2. Spray tin with Metal Spray Paint. Dry Completely.
3. Decorate with Ribbon, Rhinestones, Rick-Rack and Other Trim, Stickers, Scrapbook Paper.
4. Add Tissue Paper.
5. Fill with Candy
Glue on Ribbon (for handle) with E-6000 Glue, and then glue on Scrapbook Paper to line Lid. Add Tissue Paper and fill with Candy and Treats. Copyright 2008 Marcia Norwood |
